We rely on legitimate interests (to provide and improve the Service), contract (to deliver requested features), and consent (where required, e.g., email updates or third-party integrations).
We share data with vendors that help us run OpenProtein: Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and email services. We may also share data when you connect third-party integrations (e.g., research databases), or when required by law, or to prevent harm.
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described or as required by law. Protein designs and sequences are retained as part of your active projects. You may request deletion (see "Your rights").
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to protect your research data. No method is 100% secure; report security issues to security@openprotein.dev.
Your data may be processed in countries other than yours. Where applicable, we use safeguards like standard contractual clauses to protect your information.
To exercise rights, email privacy@openprotein.dev. We may ask for verification to protect your account.
OpenProtein isn't intended for children under 16. If we learn we collected such data, we will delete it.
Your protein designs and sequences remain your intellectual property. We do not claim ownership of your research data, but you grant us permission to process it to provide our services.
We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above. Continued use means you accept the changes.
